The Blue Jays attempted to be the Padres of the AL during the offseason, and while they didn't make as big of a splash, it was a splash nonetheless.

2020 Record: 32-28

The Blue Jays returned to the playoffs as an 8 seed last season, and hope to build upon that in 2021. They will try to overtake the Rays as the biggest competition to the Yankees, but that will be a difficult task. Even if they can't earn a better record than TB, they'll be in the playoffs. George Springer gives them great pop, and their young stars are serious threats to all pitching.

Tier: 4 (Wild Card Straggler)

Toronto could've been given either tier 4 or tier 3, but the Rays can't be disrespected even with the loss of ace Blake Snell. The Blue Jays will be better than last season, and even as a 7 or 8 seed can challenge any of the AL teams, which will be exciting to watch. Will they play in Buffalo again? Who knows?
