The Rangers ought to be at the bottom of their division this season with teams like Seattle trending upward.

2020 Record: 22-38

While four of the AL West teams will all compete to make the playoffs, the Rangers will not. The A's should win the division, and any combination of Houston, Seattle, and Anaheim will finalize some of the lower playoff seeds. Texas is rebuilding, and prospects should be welcomed to get some ABs.

Tier: 5 (Bottomfeeder)

The Rangers are in a tier with Baltimore, Detroit, KC, and Boston. These teams in most likelihood will not be close to the postseason, and should be sellers looking to bank on their future. The Rangers lost one of their only bright spots, Lance Lynn, to the White Sox in free agency, and are not a desired destination for players to stay. Maybe the new ballpark will give them any sense of positivity.
