Look Ahead to 2021 Season: A's

Oakland finally won a playoff series last year, but ultimately lost in the ALDS after possessing the top seed in the AL West.

2020 Record: 36-24

They're good, but not in the elite. Oakland has a very good lineup and will almost certainly win their division by a wide margin. Their comparison should be to an NL team in a similar in between zone between playoff contender and World Series contender. The A's are the Cubs of the NL. They need to prove they can win and go deep in the playoffs, but more than the Cubs since Chicago actually won something.

Tier: 3 (Playoff Contender)

Oakland will match up with a 4,5,6,7 team in the playoffs, and any of those teams will be threats to the A's. They will hope to play a team from their division considering the inflated records that will come from that weakness.
