Look Ahead to 2021 Season: Twins

The Twins will have their hands full against their mighty divisional opponents in the White Sox, but a playoff berth is all but guaranteed.

2020 Record: 36-24

The Twins have been a regular season powerhouse, but is that because of their division? The playoff woes suggest that as the case since the Twins have lost 18 playoff games in a row. The new format is even less rewarding since each first round game is a three game Wild Card miniseries, and Minnesota just needs to win two games, but they haven't shown that ability.

Tier: 3 (Playoff Contender)

The White Sox should by all accounts get the division title, and right behind them should be Minnesota. This isn't set in stone though, and the Twins won't go down easily. If the playoff picture did play out this way, the Twins would be a 4-6 seed and play the division winner with the worst record or one of the other second place teams. That would be a tough go for Minnesota, and if they want to be considered anything but a burnout, they need to end that streak.
