Look Ahead to 2021 Season: Marlins

If they can replicate what happened last year, the Marlins can go as far as Sixto's pitching can carry them.

2020 Record: 31-29

It's weird looking at a winning record from Miami since they were last in the National League the year before, but a 60 game season can do that. It doesn't detract from their success though, as they were able to beat the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card miniseries. Their division isn't kind, however. The solid group effort in Miami may not be enough to be as effective as they were in 2020, especially with Washington acquiring Josh Bell, Philadelphia retaining Realmuto, and the Mets winning the Francisco Lindor jackpot. If the Marlins bring the fire they did last season with their young guys, another Wild Card berth is very plausible.

Tier: 4 (Wild Card straggler)

Ranking the NL East seems like betting against the spread when you have to put someone in 5th. One would think it has to be Miami, just behind Philly, but last season proved the unpredictability of the division. We'll have to wait and see how the Marlins fare against other NL opponents.
