Look Ahead to 2021 Season: Astros
Updated: Mar 26, 2021
Houston hobbled along with a not-so-good record and almost made the World Series. It might be harder with fans booing them this year.

2020 Record: 29-31
The Astros don't appear to be as good as when they cheated, and a longer season against other teams outside of their weak division won't help them. They also lost one of their best bats in George Springer, so Houston's reign will be collapsing soon. Justin Verlander's tenure with the Astros might be over, too. The Astros will also be booed everywhere, and it will either fire them up or rip them apart. Their roster is still good, and it is enough to compete in their division.
Tier: 3 (Playoff Contender)
The AL West is possibly the weakest division in baseball, which means a decent team can make a run at the playoffs this year, and the Astros are joined by the Angels and Mariners as teams that have a chance to be Wild Card teams. If they repeat last year's postseason success, they could find themselves in the ALDS or ALCS, but it seems unlikely under the circumstances.
