Look for an improved Detroit Tigers team this season, but not one to blow your socks off. Last season's small sample size showed promise.

2020 Record: 23-35

Improved in the case of the Detroit Tigers takes into consideration their 2019 record, which was an awful 47-114, the worst in MLB by a wide margin. They started off 2020 around .500, but came back down to Earth. The Tigers can't get any worse, so they'll be better. When they will return to relevance is unknown.

Tier: 5 (Bottomfeeder)

The race for 5th place in the AL Central will be a tight one. Kansas City might be slightly better than Detroit, but both teams are so bad that it won't be surprising if they fail to reach 70 wins. Anything more than that should be considered successful for these Tigers.
