Look Ahead to 2021 Season: Indians
Updated: Mar 26, 2021
Big sellers in the offseason, diminished hopes for the future, and an incredible ace. What will Cleveland achieve?

2020 Record: 35-25
They lost their offensive superstar in Francisco Lindor, and it seems like they're rebuilding after no substantial season since their blown 3-1 lead in the 2016 World Series. They're handing over the keys to the White Sox since the Twins don't want to ever win a playoff game. They'll most likely be the third ranked team in the AL Central, and hopefully not lower considering the bottom two teams last year in Detroit and Kansas City.
Tier: 4 (Wild Card Straggler)
Expanded postseason would be a good thing for Cleveland, but to what end? Even if they squeezed out a Wild Card berth, they don't have the tools to go deep into the playoffs. The Indians would be a 7-8 seed, but that would be difficult to achieve with the other outsiders like Toronto, and whoever finishes third or fourth in the AL West. If they couldn't beat the Yankees last season with a better team, they don't stand a chance this year.
