Look Ahead to 2021 Season: D-Backs

The Diamondbacks would like to see better seasons from Marte and Escobar, and that would at least give them 4th place in the NL West.

2020 Record: 25-35

Arizona was bad last year, and all signs point to a similar fate in 2021. On the bright side, their home record in 2020 was 16-14, and maybe it will increase with fans in attendance this year. They might see less blue in the stands against the Dodgers if tickets are limited to season-ticket holders, which would also help. The D-Backs were almost a wild card team in 2019 when their offense was at least viable, but 2020 sent most of their hitters into season-long slumps, and even with an uptick in offensive power, they don't have enough to make the postseason.

Tier: 5 (Bottomfeeder)

I hope no one goes to Fanduel and is enticed by Arizona's odds to make the playoffs because it's so implausible. If I can save one faithful D-Backer, I hope I can. Don't bet on them.
