Who takes the most (and least) threes?
Utah leads the NBA in 3PA (42.9 per game), as well as in 3PM (16.7 per game), and also in 3PA frequency at 48.6%. Who else stands out?

Listed below are charts displaying all 30 teams, ranked in order of 3PA frequency. Six graphs split up the squads, and 2PA/2PM/2PAFREQ are also quantified.
(Games played through April 12th)
Top Six

The Jazz and the Trail Blazers connect on 16.7 and 16.0 threes per game, respectively, over one more than the next closest squad (the Raptors at 14.8). Utah separates themselves from this group in 3PA frequency by hoisting over 2 percentage points worth of threes compared to twos than the next highest team (the Blazers, who shoot from range 46.5% of the time).
7-12

Golden State only shoots 0.8 percentage points less than the Heat, who cracked the top six, when it comes to threes, which may be a cause for concern considering the lack of three point ability outside of the greatest shooter of all time in Steph Curry. The Bucks, Nets, Hornets, Celtics, and Warriors all make over 13 threes a game, and hope to bring that firepower into the postseason, while OKC most likely isn't headed to the playoffs. It's also worth noting that Brooklyn leads the NBA in 2P% at 56.7% and is fourth overall in 3P%, but the league is well aware of their offensive arsenal.
13-18

These teams are middle of the pack in regards to 3PA frequency, but the Clippers lead the NBA in 3P% at 42.1%, almost three percentage points higher than the next squad (Milwaukee at 39.3%). This group of teams is mixed with contenders, playoff threats, and two bottomfeeders in Minnesota and Detroit.
19-24

The only title contender in this group is the Lakers, but Indiana, Chicago, and New Orleans will be jockeying for play-in position with Sacramento just hanging on. These teams are all in the bottom 13 in the league as far as three point field goals made go, and only the Bulls rank top 15 in 3P% at 36.7%.
25-30

The Sixers are clear contenders and perhaps the biggest threats to the Nets in the Eastern Conference, but no other title hopeful squads are down here. The Knicks will most likely be in the play-in, and the Spurs and Grizzlies will be there in the West. Philly might need to incorporate more threes into their game to keep up with Brooklyn in a playoff series.
