Southwest Division TS% Leaders in the Clutch
Updated: Apr 10, 2021
Four of these teams are jockeying for position in the play-in tournament landscape. Who are the most clutch offensive players?

Listed below are charts displaying 30 players: the top six performers for each Southwest team according to TS% in Clutch Time, which is defined as the combination of FG%, 3P%, and FT% in the last five minutes of a game in which teams are within five points of each other.
Memphis

Not your average household names, but if you're reading this and understanding the subject matter surrounding these young Grizzlies, you'll know that they're a scrappy and talented bunch that fits Memphis's culture of grit, grind, and hustle. They've been playing plus .500 teams well this season, and their young studs have been effective in crunch time.
New Orleans

Zion already shoots an incredibly high FG%, so it's not surprising that his TS% is way up there, but the Clutch aspect shows his value to this team. If New Orleans is serious about making the postseason and even just the play-in, they need to utilize him a hell of a lot more in the Clutch.
Dallas

Luka is shooting great, and Dallas should be pleased to see all those names ahead of him performing well in the Clutch. Come playoff time, Luka will need all the help he can get since teams will focus all their efforts on attempting to slow him down.
San Antonio

San Antonio's solid line of clutch players according to TS% isn't surprising given how they've played this season in being typical Spurs team basketball. They'll need to keep this up since they are likely headed towards a do-or-die situation in mid May with the play-in.
Houston

The Rockets are the one team down south that won't be headed towards the playoffs, and they look to add young talent in the lottery this summer. Jae'Sean Tate has been a pleasant surprise, and Christian Wood will be the centerpiece moving forward. Similar to the Wolves, the Rockets aren't in many winning situations.
