Pacific Division TS% Leaders in the Clutch
Updated: Apr 10, 2021
These guys might surprise you. Who are the impact players on offense in the last few minutes of a close game?

Listed below are charts displaying 30 players: the top six performers for each Pacific team according to TS% in Clutch Time, which is defined as the combination of FG%, 3P%, and FT% in the last five minutes of a game in which teams are within five points of each other.
Sacramento

Tyrese Haliburton has shown his winning ability all season long, and has a tremendous basketball IQ. He is way ahead of the crowd in Sacramento in regards to clutch TS%. The Kings have the most predictable group of top clutch offensive performers in this group.
Golden State

Draymond Green isn't necessarily a scorer for the Warriors as his impact is primarily playmaking and defense, so this chart isn't indicative of his value in close games. Wiggins is not listed and is shooting an ice cold clip of 28.6% TS in the clutch. Paschall has great numbers, and Curry is surprisingly a negative net rating in these situations despite the good TS%.
Phoenix

This group of six players for Phoenix isn't surprising, but maybe the order is. Booker is the Suns' number one option on offense, especially in the clutch, but is the lowest on this list at a ghastly 40.8% TS. This could be a product of volume, and hopefully will balance out to finish the season and improve in the playoffs.
LA Lakers

Wesley Matthews? This Lakers list is weird, but so are the Lakers. This season has been injury-riddled and inconsistent, but it's promising to see the struggling Wes and KCP seasons being respectable in clutch time. LeBron is last on this list but anything over 50% TS is a sort of benchmark in the league.
LA Clippers

Marcus Morris Sr. is shooting 112.7% TS in the clutch, which is crazy. Plus-100% is possible because True Shooting percentage is calculated by this formula: PTS/2(FGA+(0.44xFTA)).
Also above 100% is Ivica Zubac, who is at 106.4. Kawhi is slightly under what would be deemed good, and Paul George is way down at 40.7, mirroring the struggles of Devin Booker for Phoenix.
