Atlantic Division TS% Leaders in the Clutch

The Tampa Bay Raptors are holding on for dear life, trying to make the play-in, but everyone else in the division is comfortable.

Listed below are charts displaying 30 players: the top six performers for each Atlantic team according to TS% in Clutch Time, which is defined as the combination of FG%, 3P%, and FT% in the last five minutes of a game in which teams are within five points of each other.

Boston

The Celtics being disappointing this year is very well-documented, and they still have a chance to figure it out before the postseason starts, and they're currently a game above .500. Their key guys are doing fine in Clutch Time, but they hope Fournier and Wagner can add to their offense in close games.

New York

Austin Rivers leads the list above, but Quickley has been in far more clutch games, and his stats are very impressive. It's interesting to note that Julius Randle is only shooting 45% TS, slightly under the benchmark. Given his volume and effectiveness all game long, it's nothing to worry about.

Brooklyn

Unfair. Brooklyn is shooting scorched-earth percentages in the Clutch, and their other role players who aren't in the top six are also doing great. It's an embarrassment of riches for the Nets, but they still might be better suited playing Claxton over DeAndre in key situations for defensive purposes.

Philadelphia

Matisse Thybulle shooting over 100% TS is scary because he is a defensive specialist for this team. The Sixers are no joke and they continue their domination when games get close. They're the biggest threat to Brooklyn and might also have the defensive tools to make it very tough down the stretch.

Toronto

The ghastly turnaround since relocating to Tampa can't be understated. The Raptors were an Eastern Conference Semifinals team last year, and could quite possibly miss the playoffs altogether this season. Hopefully they return to form when it's safe to be in Toronto again.
